Marlene Weiss Associate AIA

Marlene E. Weiss was born in Miami Beach, Florida.
She earned her Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida in 1973, where she was inducted into both the Gargoyle Honor Society and Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society. She later received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami in 1983.
Marlene is a Graduate Architect and Licensed Interior Designer with more than 37 years of experience in arc
hitecture and interior design.
Over the course of her career, she has worked with several highly regarded firms. She spent more than a decade at Ferendino Grafton Spillis & Candela in Coral Gables, contributing to major educational projects including Miami Dade College, the University of Miami, and St. Thomas University. At Rodriguez & Quiroga, she worked on prominent law firm offices throughout Miami. While with Peggy Nye & Lodin, she led projects for Fortune 500 clients such as Disney, ITT Sheraton, and Visa International. Her work has been featured in more than 25 magazines and books, and she has received multiple prestigious design awards.
As a founding member of WS Architecture & Planning, Inc., Marlene played a key role in designing corporate offices for Fifth Third Bank of Florida and worked on the luxury residential condominium Twin Dolphins on the Isles of Capri, Florida.
She was also featured in E Bella Magazine in January 2011 in the article titled “The Accidental Advocate.”
In addition to her design career, Marlene is an equity member of Summa Development Group LLC, where she serves as Chief Financial Officer. She is also the Managing Member and President of MWAID LLC, an interior architecture firm responsible for all interior design and furniture planning for the CitiTower Project.
